The session begins with a brief circle time involving calendar and weather activities. Stories and instructions for the days projects.

When the children have completed the days projects they are then given the opportunity for free play and involvement with:
- Dolls and Dress-Up
- Housekeeping area
- Blocks and building toys
- Puzzles, books and games
- Play dough
- Painting
- Project tables

The second hour includes a teacher directed group experience with conversation, songs, finger-plays and stories, as well as snack time. The session concludes on the outdoor playground, if the weather permits, or with indoor movement activities.
